Top 10 Free Mobile Applications for Graphic Design

1. Paperless

Paperless is not exactly a mobile application for graphic design. But, there are some tasks that are needed to  facilitate the work of a designer. One of such is transferring hand drawn sketches for further work on graphic design apps. 


This is where apps like paperless come to play. Paperless enables designers to scan their drawings with their smartphones for further work with another design app. 

2. Infinite Design

Infinite Design is a vector graphics design application that enables you create and design your projects effortlessly on your smartphone. 


It's features include: intuitive path editing, boolean operations, unlimited layers, superior tools such as text tool and pen tool. Infinite Design is completely free for download on Google Play Store. 

3. Canva

Mentioning Graphic design applications without including Canva will be a huge error. Canva is one of the most easy to use Graphic design application for smartphones and basically any device. It provides tools for video editing, photo editing, logo design and of course graphic design. A majority of Canva's features including it's large library of fonts are free. There are free design tplates for socialedia posts, flyers, posters, blog posts, infographics and so many others. Canvas advanced features and some of its most prized editing elements are in it's pro version which is quite affordable.

4. Ibis Paint X app

Ibis Paint X is another good art and design mobile application with over 150 million total downloads. The mobile application has over 2,700 materials with 2,000 brushes, over 800 fonts, 75 filters, 46 screentones, 27 blending modes, clipping mask features, ruler features, stroke stabilization features and so many more. Ibis Paint has a free version that is more or less the same with the paid version if you do not mind ads popping up. 

5. MyPantone

MyPantone for Android is a completely free mobile app that offers access to a wide range of PANTONE color libraries. A graphic designer can use the application to see colors, build or create color palettes and even share them with others. It includes RGB, HTML and L.a.b data. 


It can also capture and extract colors from photos and identify the closest Pantone color that matches.

6. Colour Reference

 Color Reference is a great choice application for anyone who loves colors and designers too. The application allows you create your own colors and has features for designing wallpapers. You can browse color lists with colour names and get RGB, HSL or HEX codes for the colors. 


As it is with MyPantone, you can also use Color Reference to pick and identify colors from images.

7. Art Flow Paint Draw Sketchbook

 Artflow is another powerful design mobile application that converts your smartphone to a digital sketchbook. It has a library of more than 80 paint brushes, smudge, fill and an eraser tool. It is a fast intuitive painting and drawing application that will bring your design ideas to life.  


The application is majorly free but has advanced features that can only be unlocked when you subscribe to it's pro version. With Artflow, you can import and export Photoshop files and work on them on your smartphone.
