The current trend in the marketing and advertising industry has led a lot of business owners to believe that other methods of advertising asides digital marketing are no longer viable. This is however very inaccurate as television advertising still remains the most commonly used form of marketing and also produces high return on investment. Television advertising will only fail to produce the desired results when the ad itself is not properly done. 

Technological advancements have made it very easy to gain access to television channels; with antenna, satellite dish, cable, and also through the internet. Which ever way, television has expanded its reach and is therefore still a great way to reach a wide range of viewers at the same time.

A lot of nigerians and africans from other countries spend most of their time watching BBN.  It is a known fact that most people skip ads online because they do not trust them. While digital advertising has its benefits, building instant trust or credibility is not one of them. Most businesses wisely combine television adverts and digital adverts to promote their products or brand. People tend to believe an online ad after they have seen it on tv.

Although advertising on television offers the benefit of reaching a wide demographic of people at the same time, it also gives room to target a specific group of people. Targeted adverts are possible on television because, there are a number of television channels that cater to the needs of specific audience. Television adverts are usually a bit expensive. Hence, people tend to believe that no fraudulent company would spend that much money on tv time and create good adverts. 


Hence, based on that belief most people might believe adverts aired on television over ads they see online.
