THE ADVANTAGES BROADCAST MARKETING CAN OFFER YOUR MARKETING CAMPAIGN

Broadcast advertising is a form of traditional advertising most marketers feel is left for the big wigs in the corporate and business sector. From the time of the first radio broadcast, marketers and businesses have been using broadcast media to advertise their products, services and create awareness for their brand. 


 Broadcast is a lot different from print and even though it was introduced to the world and marketing scene a bit later, it has become quite popular among top level companies. 

WHAT IS BROADCAST ADVERTISING?

Broadcast advertising is a form of traditional marketing that promotes a business, product or service using commercials that air to the public on radio or television channels. 
Broadcast advertising is a very effective means of promoting products especially for companies that want to reach a broad target market. 

Before the advent of digital marketing, broadcast marketing was the most effective method for businesses to reach their target customers. This is majorly because every body spends at least an hour a day watching commercial TV and when an ad is aired, these people are made aware of the brand, product or the business itself.

ADVANTAGES OF BROADCAST ADVERTISING

Advertising using radio and television channels is a great and effective way to promote a product or brand. 


This is because these broadcast media provide a highly targeted audience base. Radio and television stations or channels always have a dedicated fan base that consist of loyal listeners or audience. 

A well-planned marketing strategy should target tv or radio stations that have access to their target market. 

Using broadcast media to advertise makes it easy to target a specific group of people, fans of certain stations share common interests and preferences. 


For instance, a company that produces biscuits for children can use TV channels that their target consumers (children) will most definitely watch such as Nickelodeon, Disney Channel or Cartoon Network. 

Another important benefit of advertising on radio and television is that the viewer cannot skip your ad, they will be more or less forced to watch the ad. This is a major advantage because even if the viewer is actively or passively watching or listening to your ad, the message gets passed one way or the other. 


Unlike with digital marketing where the internet user can scroll past your ad or skip it entirely. 

Radio Ads

People mostly listen to their radios on the way to work either riding in their personal cars or in the bus, some listen to the radio while carrying out chores at home. Such activities do not completely take the attention of your listener, people can actively listen to their radio while doing under-stimulating tasks at the same time. 


This means that your ad can take advantage of their relaxed state and open ears to pass its message and connect with the listener. Although for the best results, radio adverts are more effective when they are heard repeatedly.
